Franchise project in development

Fresh pizzas, prepared by robots, right before your eyes.

pizzaBot designs a compact, fully automated counter. Each pizza is made to order, using fresh ingredients kept in a refrigerated display. From shaping to baking, everything is visible and contact-free.

The concept

A counter, not a dining room

No dining area or indoor access for customers: a compact storefront, suited to prime locations with limited retail space, and designed to make hygiene visible.

Glass-walled workshop

A glass-walled workshop, ingredients in a refrigerated enclosure and automated movements: the public watches the making process live, and hygiene becomes verifiable.

Kiosks & pickup

Order and pay at a kiosk, collect from a secure locker. A fast customer journey, with no indoor queue.

Mobile app

Remote ordering, pickup slot selection or delivery, and live webcam tracking of the workshop and your own order.

Information screen

Menu, promotions and live waiting times: customers track their order's progress right up to pickup.

Hygiene & cold chain

Hygiene you can see

In a conventional shop, preparation takes place out of sight and hygiene relies on the operator's discipline. At pizzaBot, the workshop is glass-walled, movements are automated, and every ingredient stays in a refrigerated enclosure until used.

  • Refrigerated displayIngredient bins are kept at 4°C, from storage to topping. The display itself is a refrigerated piece of equipment.
  • Zero human contactNo hand touches the dough or the toppings. Robots are the only ones handling ingredients, removing the main vector of contamination in food service.
  • Automated, logged cleaningScheduled and logged cleaning cycles: cleanliness no longer depends on an operator's judgement at the end of a shift.
  • Full traceabilityEvery ingredient batch is time-stamped, linked to its storage temperature and available for consultation, from delivery to baking.

Freshness

Fresh pizzas, never reheated

Classic vending machines store pizzas prepared in advance, often frozen, which they simply reheat. At pizzaBot, nothing is assembled ahead of time: the dough is rolled, the sauce and toppings are applied, and the pizza is baked when ordered.

Why this format

A structural answer to the industry's challenges

  • Hygiene and consistencyNo human contact with food, logged cleaning cycles and a continuous cold chain: the hygiene level no longer depends on an operator's discipline.
  • Smaller retail footprintWith no indoor customer area, more locations become possible, more accessible, and at a controlled setup cost.
  • Transparency as a brand argumentShowing preparation and the cold chain, both on-site and via webcam, turns an operational constraint into proof of trust.
  • A model designed for franchisingA standardized, replicable format, remotely operated, designed from the outset to scale into a network.

Behind the project

An engineer's profile, hands-on experience

20 years
in takeaway food service
Engineer
specializing in automation

This project has been matured over several years by a founder with an engineering background, focused on the technical aspects of automation.

Having run a takeaway pizza business for 20 years, he knows the industry's constraints from the inside: production, hygiene, cold chain, customer flow. This grounding sets the project apart from a purely technological approach.
